day 203 – four vintage street tiles spelling ‘capo’

The vintage street tiles in New Orleans are lovely: an antiquated blue, you can feel the experience radiate off of them as you pass by each corner. Sometimes a little cracked, with words slightly fragmented, the flaws only add that much more character to the city streets as you wind your way down one ways, alleys and neighborhood blocks.

These four letters are found outside of an old grocery store Uptown that is currently being restored as a home: adding a reminder of the property’s rich past to its beautification process on a daily basis.
